Continue to the Pont du Gard: visit the best preserved aqueduct of the Roman period (the museum is not included).

While driving along the docks between the Rhône River and the medieval walls, you will enter Avignon, the majestic city of the Popes. Take a look at Saint-Benezet Bridge, famous for the children's song “Sur le Pont d'Avignon”, and admire the exterior of the Popes' Palace, the largest Gothic-styled Palace in Europe.

In the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the castle dominates the vineyard, discover the wines of the Rhône River valley in one of the numerous cellars of the village and enjoy a wine tasting.
