Prague food and history guided walking tour

This 3.5-hour small-group walking tour takes you through two of Prague's most distinct neighbourhoods: the ancient, winding streets of Old Town and the grand Art Nouveau boulevards of New Town.

The route visits five handpicked stops, each one reflecting a different side of Czech food culture. It begins inside the 13th-century Convent of St. Agnes, at a charming café serving marinated cheese and craft beer in one of the city's most atmospheric settings. From there, a family-run gingerbread bakery offers traditional Czech pastries baked with generations of knowledge behind them. A Czech-Slovak deli provides a taste of the country's great open-faced sandwich tradition. One of the city's most acclaimed artisan bakeries offers a warm koláč with seasonal filling. The tour closes at Café Louvre, open since 1902, and still one of the finest places in Prague to sit down with a proper Czech meal, a cold beer, and a slice of homemade apple strudel.

Eight food tastings, two drinks, and a maximum group size of 12 keep the experience intimate throughout.
