The Changing of the Guard is the changeover of the Royal guard and, on this London walking tour, you'll stand in the best spots to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, march next to the guards and get fantastic photos!

Throughout the tour your local guide will explain each step of the Changing of the Guard ceremony process as you watch the Royal Guards, the Household Cavalry and the Regimental Musical Bands march towards Buckingham Palace in one of the most inspiring and traditional British events in all its glorious pomp and pageantry.

You’ll also learn about Royal landmarks including Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace and Clarence House as well as discover the home of British Royalty and Government at Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament.

The Changing of the Guard is one of the most historical and cultural London events and now you can enjoy it up close on one of the best tours in London.

Not suitable for:

due to crowds, uneven surfaces and unavoidable stairs, this tour is not suitable for those with wheelchairs, walking difficulties or large prams/buggys.

Not allowed:

for security reasons, the police request that no suitcases (big or small) be brought to the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Please arrange storage for these prior to joining the tour. Handbags and Small Backpacks are welcome and can be brought on the tour

Know in advance:

please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts to check-in with your tour guide
this tour requires approximately 2-3 miles of walking. Please wear comfortable walking shoes
this tour will have a maximum of 20 travelers
the ceremony can be altered at any time at the discretion of the British Army. In the event of bad weather the British Army may decide to do a 'Wet Change' which is a shortened version of the Changing of the Guard ceremony without any music
