Denna båttur med katamaran med glasbotten längs La Palmas västkust tar dig till platser som är nästan omöjliga att nå landvägen. Vi seglar in i Bonita-grottan och ser landmärken längs vägen. Dessutom finns det en chans att se delfiner och få syn på den nyligen utbrutna vulkanen Cumbre Vieja.

Det roliga börjar när Fancy II seglar från hamnen i Tazacorte och styr norrut förbi vulkaniska klippor med fallhöjder på mer än 200 meter. Vi stannar till vid Bonita-grottan - en stor grotta med två mynningar. För århundraden sedan gömde sig lokalborna här från pirater. Katamaranen kommer att segla rakt in i grottan. Nästa stopp är Poris de Candelaria, där några fiskarstugor har byggts vid foten av klipporna.

Vi fortsätter att segla och passerar Colorada-grottan och Poris de Puntagorda. Med lite tur ser vi delfin- och valflockar, som rör sig fritt i La Palmas atlantiska vatten.

The staff on the boat itself where brilliant, very accommodating and knowledgeable, the boat trip itself was 10/10 the issue was the transfer, the driver spoke 0 English and us and the German groups had difficulty understanding if the pickup was for us and that driver had to use Google translate to try explain what he was doing. Other then that the trip itself was brilliant. Even a basic sign on the bus would have fixed this.

The rep told us the trip from hotel to port would be no more than an hour but because we had to go to another hotel to pick up took an hour and three quarters. She also said that 95% chance of seeing dolphins and 30% chance of seeing whales. We just about saw two whales and no dolphins. Whilst we appreciate that seeing dolphins could not be guaranteed the impression given was that we would see dolphins and not to do so was very disappointing. Overall it was disappointing and expensive trip

Mehrere Kleinkinder auf dem Boot, obwohl die Tour ab 13 ausgeschrieben ist. Nicht eines der Kinder hatte eine Schwimmweste an! Tour bei sehr hohem Wellengang, absolut grenzwertig! Eine Einfahrt zu den Höhlen nicht möglich. Die Hälfte der Gäste hing über Kotztüten. Eine absolute Frechheit, bei solchen Bedingungen raus zu fahren. Die paar Delfine, die sich dann gezeigt haben, war es nicht wert! Schlechte Stimmung an Bord.

We had booked for two people but on boarding the guide said that we had only one person booked. A lady then questioned us about how much we paid and who we booked with. An embarrassing situation! We only saw some dolphins, no attempt to see whales. The guide’s comment in English was sketchy and no microphone so we couldn’t hear anything as there was a lot of noise. Very poor value for money and not enjoyable.

Good driver. Good boat trip. Informative English speaking guide on board. Slight confusion re what we did/ who we needed to see re" vouchers" on alighting from bus, but staff at the kiosk were able to tell us to go straight to the boat where they had our names. Lucky enough to see whakes in the last half hour of our trip.

I found it a very enjoyable experience. We were lucky enough to see pilot whales and dolphins which is down to luck but ,even without that, it was an enjoyable experience. No down sides.
