This activity starts on the north coast of the island, near Areal de Santa BĂĄrbara beach in the town of Ribeira Grande. At the starting point, you'll conduct a safety briefing and a demonstration of how to use the electric bicycle and all its functions, and then distribute the equipment. Once finished, you're ready to embark on this memorable adventure!
You'll begin by heading directly to the âheartâ of Ribeira Grande, where you'll have the opportunity to pass through some of the parishes in this municipality. You'll learn the history, culture, and traditions manifested in geosites such as the âFontanĂĄrio da Ribeira Seca,â. You'll also observe the architecture of many ancient buildings, as the EspĂrito Santo Church, the building Paços do Concelho and the Bridge Oito Arcos.
You'll continue the adventure surrounded by nature and accompanied by the sound of water from various springs that lead us to the FajĂŁ do Redondo. At Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande, you'll explore the volcanic activity area, where you'll find hot water springs used by the spa and an area used for cooking âcozidoâ.
Moving on to the next stop, the Coroa da Mata Viewpoint, you'll travel along secondary paths, enjoying panoramic views. You'll continue to explore the lush landscapes resulting from volcanic eruptions on the north coast of the island, passing by some Viewpoints. You'll return along a dirt path along the coast, observing the unforgettable landscape until you're back on the city streets.
