Undoubtedly one of the most exciting and fun ways to explore the island of São Miguel, this tour takes you into the depths of nature where you will go along the stream descending several waterfalls, sliding and jumping into natural pools, making it a great way to spend the day. This excursion starts and finishes at the Salto do Cabrito Waterfall, an amazing place located near the city of Ribeira Grande and Caldeira Velha in São Miguel Island, a 20-minute drive from the city of Ponta Delgada. When you get there, you'll receive the equipment and a safety briefing, followed by a 30-minute walk to the canyoning site where the fun will begin.
After another briefing with a few more instructions, you'll begin the descent of the canyon, passing through several waterfalls and surrounded by the exuberant nature of this volcanic area. The descent is made through several rappels (between 4 and 16 meters), and you can optionally make a jump of approximately 3 meters. For unforgettable moments of fun, there is also the option of a zip line.
