Join this half-day tour to discover the historic village of Silves.

First, you'll visit the Castle of Silves, a fantastic monument and a real must-see. You'll then continue to the Cathedral, as well as the Archeology Museum of Silves, a unique place full of historical pieces that tell the history of the region. Next, you'll be heading to the historical village of Monchique, so you can see the best places.

You will also have the chance to explore the mountains for some panoramic and breathtaking views and proceed onward to Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve region and of the Monchique mountain range. With 902 meters of height, you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking 360º view of the entire area.

We were picked up at the hotel at 9.00 am. Despite the torrential rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was very attentive and informative and looked after us well. He stopped at opportune moments so that we could take photos of interesting views. There was time to stop for coffee and cake and a walk round Silves castle and the cathedral. A good morning’s excursion. Thank you!

The tour was in people carrier and not a coach/minibus and very cramped. It is not at all suitable for a site seeing tour. There was no a/c in the back of the vehicle also we were unable to hear any commentary as we were in the back seats.

Schöne Rundtour mit vielen landschaftlichen Eindrücken. Leider findet die Tour nur auf englischer Sprache statt. Ein technisches Mittel für die Sprachübersetzung wäre Empfehlenswert ,da auch viele ältere Teilnehmer diese Reise Buchen.

We were picked up at the hotel at 9.00 am. Despite the torrential rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was very attentive and informative and looked after us well.
