You'll need to rethink your idea of a water park when it comes to Jungala, Riviera Maya's newest and hottest family attraction. Aside from cutting-edge slides – you'll be tempted in by the longest lazy river in Latin America - you'll also find spa services, dedicated concierge service and eateries on site.

Calm, wellness, pampering and fun are just a few of the things Jungala Water Park offers. Set within a dense jungle, there's no shortage of privacy to enjoy moments together – whether that's hitting the state-of-the-art wave pool or whirling down the longest lazy river in Latin America.

And once you've ticked off the slides, you'll have plenty on hand, including spa treatments, a few shops and eateries. Explore the waterfall and coves too, then sink into the Jungala spa pool for adults where you can lounge and float to your heart's content.

Booked this trip on the Tui app, which it says it was close to our hotel and stated no transport provided. However it did not state this was due to the location of the park, the only transport arrivable was over $200. Non refundable due to being sold directly from the park which was not stated and we thought we were booking a Tui trip.

Buying through TUI was US$30 more than the Jungala own website. As this doesn't include transport or any TUI input, I think the mark up is excessive.

We were a little confused when we were initially dropped off by the taxi as it wasn't clear which way we should go to Jungala (Cirque de Soleil is also at the same venue) but we were soon directed by a member of staff. We enjoyed the little ride from the entrance to Jungala. Our favourite things at Jungala were the waves and the lazy river (which is beautiful and tropical!). Highly recommend this experience!

The park is really clean and the staff were really friendly. Not sure if we were really lucky or April is low season but there was hardly anyone else there and so there was no waiting for any of the slides. That meant we’d pretty much exhausted the fun to be had quite quickly as there are only about 5 options for older kids. But those that are there were really good.

We was not told about paging for transfers and was and extra 500 per person which is frustrating on the day
