Sail to Catalina Island on this full-day tour, stopping to snorkel at La Pared, AKA The Wall, a national park home to a bunch of corals and sea life, like parrotfish, angelfish and sea turtles. Then, you'll continue to Catalina Island itself for a typical Dominican lunch on the beach. Afterwards, you'll head back to La Romana to visit Altos de Chavon, a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village – you'll find a Roman-style amphitheatre, art galleries and a lively art scene here.

Saona Island beautiful, lunch lovely, see starfish but TUI experience not the best (viator much better). Guide didn't get off bus, we had to find him! Only 20min snorkel. First boat crew fab, Guide encouraged purchase of local $10 pina colada and tipping. His timings dodgy, told leaving Island at 1445, left at 1430. Trip back, cataraman sail ripped, took 2.5 hrs, crew not as engaging until want tip at end. Return coach dirty and full of empies and detour to drop guide off before last hotel!

Our family enjoyed the snorkeling and the beach, but was bit shocked by the price of the chocolate store at the end of the trip. We prefer seeing more of the manufacturing processes of the chocolate.
