We liked Budapest more than Vienna. It has a buzz about it. The bus was comfortable and the audio commentary worked well. Even though it was very cold we enjoyed walking around and the Gluhwein was the best ever. The whole excursion was excellent and would certainly recommend it. Unfortunately we didn’t do the optional boat trip as we were knackered??

Buses was rammed so didn't feel safe. Didn't run very frequently so spent ages if you got off so discouraged you from doing it.. We were on first bus of day and there was food and rubbish on upper deck. Admittedly there was an event so delays at start of day but never changed throughout

Initially we were not given a guide with the routes and stops by the guide on board. She said that she didn’t have any but later when we enquired about which stop we needed to get off which was closest to the ship she suddenly produced the guide to us. We then asked why she had said that she had no guides when we got on the driver made some joke saying that she did not speak English which was (his way of a joke).She was obviously too lazy to give them out. The guide needs to be more pro-active.

The Hop On Hop Off Buses were really handy for getting around Budapest. The buses were clean, a bit cramped legroom wise and the staff spoke English. They didn't seem the happiest and would stop the route and instruct passengers to change buses because the driver was having a break.
