Access Buckingham Palace, the official London Royal Residence of King Charles III, during the limited period in which it is open to the public each year, and admire the elegance and opulence of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
This experience combines two of London’s most remarkable traditions in a seamless and engaging way. Before entering the palace, a guided walking tour focuses on the Changing of the Guard, one of the city’s most recognisable ceremonies. The route runs alongside the guards, offering a more dynamic way to experience the event while avoiding long waits in crowded areas. Held in a small group of up to 15 people, the ceremony can be experienced in a more intimate and personalised setting than in larger groups.
Along the way, you will observe the guards and gain insight into the history and significance of this ceremonial tradition. In case of adverse weather conditions, the full ceremony may be replaced by a shorter version, known as the "Wet Change", where guards are still visible, but musicians remain indoors.
After the walking experience, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the palace interiors independently. Visitors typically spend around one and a half hours inside, although you are free to stay longer within the allocated visiting time.
