Follow the traces of the Trapp Family, world-famous from the movie "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers and Hammerstein premiering in 1959 and discover the original filming locations.

The first stop of the tour will be Mirabell Gardens, where the song "Do-Re-Mi" was filmed. Then you'll continue to Leopoldskron Palace, where you can enjoy the spectacular view on Lake Leopoldkron. At the gardens of Hellbrunn Palace you can visit the Gazebo, rebuilt for all movie fans. Your next stop is the Nonnberg Abbey, which is also nowadays an active women’s convent. As the Abbey does not allow visits within the walls, you can walk up the front gate of the Gothic Church. Then you'll head to the Lake District Area with incredible views and photo opportunities. At the Mondsee you can see the famous church, where the wedding scene was filmed. Afterwards you have some time to explore the picturesque town on your own before the bus brings you back to Salzburg.

The Sound of Music Tour was excellent ! We were taken to various film locations in and around Saltzberg. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and amusing, encouraging us to sing and have lots of fun! Highly recommend this experience.

Great tour, guide, Connor was great, very informative and interesting. Would have liked a closer look at the outside of the house used for exteriors and the abbey.

Excellent tour - just what we were hoping for! David and Ivo were excellent tour guide and driver. We saw all the sights from the film, learned about the real story and filming and had a great sing along in the coach!
