Sebbene il Lago d'Orta sia il più piccolo e meno visitato dei laghi subalpini italiani, è considerato da molti uno dei più belli. Potrete giudicare voi stessi durante questo tour, che vi porterà nei punti più panoramici lungo la riva. C'è tempo libero per sorseggiare un drink in un caffè in una piazza sul lago o semplicemente per sedersi e godersi lo sfondo delle montagne del lago. È un ambiente molto romantico.

Potrete anche scorgere l'isolotto al centro del lago, San Giulio, uno dei segreti meglio custoditi dell'Italia settentrionale. Salite a bordo di un breve giro in barca e visitate la sua basilica romanica, famosa per i suoi affreschi.

Sadly this wasn't for us, partly because it was extremely hot on the day, and we felt the group was too big. A morning trip may have been better in terms of the weather. The ferry ride on the lake was very uncomfortable- too hot and too crowded and quite long. This lake's scenery is nowhere near as pretty as Maggiore. The town of Orta was pretty but crowded. The Church on the Island was interesting but again crowded and some missed the guide's information because they were still outside.

We enjoyed San Guilo and the Orta resort. We did not enjoy the long boat trip on a public ferry. There was far too much travelling time and we were only allowed 1/2 hour at San Guilo and 1 hour at Orta resort.

We enjoyed all the experience. The ferry ride was good. Luca the guide was very good and very informative. The island of st Julia was beautiful as was orta.

Thoroughly enjoyed Lake Orta, well organised it included boat trip down the lake to San Giulio and then to isola San Giulio and a visit to the basilica. Lucca the guide was brilliant. very knowledgeable, humorous and kept everyone interested.

The guide Luca was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable. The bus driver was amazing, very impressive driving. The first island we went to was quaint and the basilica was breathtaking. Orta itself was a lovely little place. Didn't like much the first boat being a public boat took quite a while due to picking others up. We paid for the trip yet felt that this was not quite right. The boats were never on time which meant we stood around a lot waiting when we could have been sightseeing.

Luca's excellent commentary and Andre's highly skillful driving made it a perfect trip. Loved the town of Orta and boat rides. Loved views across the lake and pretty villages on journey home. I was not so happy that people with mobility problems were forced to pay for a boat trip because the walk was too far.
