There were 3 separate tours joined together with people speaking 4 languages Spanish, Italian, German & English. The guide we had for the majority of the day spoke very little English which meant we were left not knowing what was happening at different points of the day. This left us feeling very unsafe in the back streets of Romana. We even had to ask some other tourists to translate for us. The buses were late which meant only 45 mins at the village so the end was very rushed. Disappointing.

The described trip was not what we got, no beautful coral and fish as seen in the photos, coral is dead and grey very few fish. Guide only spike in soanish so we had no idea what was happening, herded like cattle onto boats, poor drinks quality poor food hygiene, trip was 10 hours plus, also due yo guide speaking spanish no idea whatthe town was all about

It would be better if we had visited the church first and then the island but I understand slots have to be booked for visiting both and it was nice that it wasn't busy when we visited the church. Also it would be better to board the return boat from the dock rather than using the smaller boats for the transfer.

We really enjoyed the boat trip and the staff were very helpful getting my wife and daughter on and off the boat. The guide Nathan was excellent. Our only criticism was we felt too much time was spent on the island and not enough at Altos de Chavon. We only had 35 minutes there which was not enough time to really enjoy the experience, but overall very pleased.
