Montez à bord pour une excursion en bateau d'une journée sur l'île de Catalina, à quelques encablures de la côte sud du continent. Vous jetterez l'ancre pour faire de la plongée en apnée autour de l'un des récifs coralliens les plus animés de la République dominicaine, La Pared, où vous pourrez apercevoir un tapis coloré de coraux vivants, de crabes et de poissons tropicaux. Ensuite, vous rejoindrez la terre ferme, où vous pourrez profiter de la plage et vous régaler d'un déjeuner à la dominicaine. Il s'agit de viandes fraîches grillées, de riz et de salades, accompagnés au choix de bière, de rhum ou de boissons non alcoolisées.

We were not clear on information. We stopped at a gas station after picking up four other resorts guests and there was no communication. We would have used the bathroom and grabbed some things. All of a sudden they started screaming to get off and board another bus. Then we had the long drive to Catalina.

We loved the snorkelling and the beach was just paradise. We didn’t have food so can’t comment on this. The only reason we haven’t given a 10 is that the last driver bringing us home was driving erratically and too fast for the road conditions. We nearly got out to get a taxi. He also spent lots of time on his phone whilst driving. When confronted he laughed. With children on board this is just NOT acceptable.

Op zich best een leuke excursie maar het snorkelen stelt echt niets voor , je ziet alleen dezelfde vissoort, muziek op de boot veel te hard , leuke muziek maar mag echt iets minder hard. Strand Catalina prachtig, eten lekker maar de excursie voelt meer als een geldmachine.toch een leuke dag gehad,

The guide shared a lot of information on the way to the trip. The transfers were a little disjointed but everyone got there in the end! Be aware, there is a steep walk down to the boat and back, and quite a choppy boat ride out to the island. However, the island looked beautiful, the water was crystal clear. The family enjoyed the snorkeling- lasted about 45 mins- seeing lots of different fish. The food on the island is rustic but tasty. Police around to keep you safe whole you swim snd relax.

A good safe location was chosen to snorkel, The coral was full of colour from the plants and fish swimming, we had sufficient time in the water and it was easy to get on and off the boat

VERY long transfer from Bahia Ambar (almost 2.5 hours). Snorkelling was great. Catalina is beautiful, but very "sell-y". Offered to purchase seafood along with buffet - lobster was $60, 12 shrimp on skewers was $20. Market stall on the beach. Boat there and back was great, with fantastic crew - not a party/get-up-and-dance boat. Would recommend if relaxing on Saona not your thing.
