Embark on a journey through Old Town Alexandria and cycle to Mount Vernon, the residence of America's first president. This experience includes bicycle hire, unrestricted access to Mount Vernon's grounds, and a boat ride back to Washington DC. It's ideal for families and solo travellers alike.

To make the most of your day, an early morning start is recommended when the rental shop opens. The boat departs from Mount Vernon in the afternoon and docks at Pier 4 on Water Street SW, Washington DC. Alternatively, you can cycle back to the starting point in Alexandria or, for a small additional charge, secure the bicycles at Mount Vernon and arrange your own return transport.

All guests must be able to ride a bike on their own (unless on attachments)
Guests under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult in order to ride a bike on their own
Waiver is required before arrival via the local operator's app, more information can be found in the voucher after booking
Boat departure times and stops: departure from Mount Vernon at 1:30pm. Return stop in Alexandria VA at approximately 2:40pm (Alexandria City Marina, 0 Cameron St). Final stop in Washington DC at approximately 3:10pm (Transit Pier at The Wharf, 950 Wharf St SW)

Remember to bring:

Government-issued photo ID (to be retained as a deposit for all rentals)
Credit card (to be kept on file for the security of the bikes)
