Meet your tour guide in Interlaken before taking the coach to go to Grindelwald, where you’ll find pine forests and rustic chalets dotting the valley. Admire the real attraction on your way, which is the view of the famous three peaks: the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau.
There are a lot of activities you can try while you’re in the resort, like taking the cable car to Mt First, followed by a stroll on the 45-meter-long Cliff Walk – it’s a metal suspension bridge that juts out over the valley for incredible views. It’s an incredible experience, but only if you don’t suffer from vertigo. You can pick from one of the many hiking trails that are open all year round, or in winter, you could take the train up to Alpiglen for an adrenaline-pumping sledge down to Brandegg.
Next, your guide will take you to Lauterbrunnen, a village nestled between towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. You’ll understand how, with its misty mountains and achingly pretty wooden houses, the Lauterbrunnen valley inspired epic fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien. Enjoy free time here to wander the charming village, grab a hot chocolate and admire Staubbach Falls, Switzerland’s third-highest waterfall, before heading back to Interlaken.
