The special passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and is subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations. On such days, you'll explore the Pinacoteca Gallery instead
Sometimes guides may not be allowed to give tours inside St. Peter's Basilica, in which case they will share a brief explanation from outside, and you'll be free to visit the Basilica by yourself
Men and women must cover knees and shoulders to enter religious sites. The local operator cannot be held responsible for those denied entry
Groups are limited to a maximum of 18 people
Between January 12 and March 31, 2026, the Vatican Museums will carry out a dedicated preservation project focused on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment. The Sistine Chapel will remain open, but the fresco will be temporarily covered by scaffolding during this period, this specific artwork will be temporarily out of view during the restoration period. This was a great experience and very beneficial being part of a small group. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and inclusive. He made personal recommendation to complete our overall experience prior to leaving the Vatican, to make the most of the opportunity while in the city.

Audio udstyret var ikke bedste kvalitet. Når der er meget andet larm er det svært at høre med kun en høreprop, især når der tales med accent. Guiden var god til at holde os samlet trods rigtig mange mennesker!
