Join a local family at their eating table for this cultural food adventure. You'll enter a completely different world. Each meeting is personal, with only your own family/party and the local family.

After meeting the local family and tasting your first drink you will start helping the family with preparing the meal. Just watching, making notes and taking pictures is also possible.

Enjoy communicating with the family who speak at least some basic English. Learn about daily life or anything you would like to know, including sharing some things about yourself and your home country.

Most local families find it very interesting to hear about other cultures. By taking part in this experience, you'll be supporting a cause that's World Fair Trade Organization accredited.

Het contact met een lokale familie is echt top. Ook het koken met de moeder was leuk/gezellig. Fijn dat het gezin best wel goed Engels sprak. Jammer was dat onze gids na het eten vertrok ( hij had gevraagd of dit goed was) en dat de moeder ons weg bracht naar het hotel. Alleen ging zij eerst nog even wat huishoudelijke dingetjes doen en zich opfrissen. Terwijl eigenlijk maar zaten te wachten tot we zouden gaan.

On the terrace, you'll find many shoes. It is customary to take off your shoes before entering a house. Clothes should respect the local culture and not show too much skin
Don't forget to ask for permission when you want to take pictures of the local family (and/or post them on social media). Most of the time everyone is fine with it
You'll receive the meeting point address via email from the supplier after booking
