2021 saw the creation of a new volcanic crater near La Palma. The volcano previously known as Cumbre Vieja erupted, completely changing the landscape west of the city. Hiking 6.5km on the newly christened Tajogaite – cracked mountain – you'll almost reach the crater. From here, awesome views of the lava flows and the Aridane Valley open up.

Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Ich hätte gern noch mehr über die Geschichte dieser tollen Insel erfahren. Für das Wetter konnte niemand etwas: ich habe mir einen Mega kalten, nassen und windigen Tag ausgesucht.

Die Wanderung ist auf alle Fälle eine Erfahrung wert und lohnt sich 👍👏. Wir sind pünktlich losgefahren und unser Guide war sehr freundlich, nett und hat uns sehr gut geführt und interessante Sachen erzählt und die gestellten Fragen, beantwortet. Wir hatten leider kein Glück mit dem Wetter. Es war sehr regnerisch, kalt und stürmisch. 🤷🏻♀️dafür konnte allerdings keiner etwas 🤣
