Meet your guide at Ponta Delgada and head to Lomba de São Pedro where an easy hike along the northern coast of São Miguel Island awaits you.
Starting at the foot of the Lomba de São Pedro church, take the dirt track that will take you towards the ocean. On this adventurous walk of about 5.5 kilometers, admire the stunning views from the Miradouro da Rocha before reaching the beautiful Homem waterfall. The walk continues with other remarkably beautiful natural spots hidden in the forest such as the ancient ruin of the watermill of Felix, Teofilo's waterfall, Gruta's waterfall, and the Trout's well.
Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and, weather permitting, swim in the crystal clear waters of the waterfall of your choice. Before returning to Ponta Delgada, see the ancient fountains that once supplied the villages with water.
