Santorini is one of the most distinctive destinations in the Aegean, renowned for its dramatic volcanic scenery and instantly recognisable silhouette. Formed by five islands - Thíra, Thirassiá, Asproníssi, Palea and Nea Kaméni - the archipelago lies within an active volcanic system, whose submerged crater has created the island’s striking caldera. Whitewashed houses perched on dark cliffs, set against the deep blue of the sea and sky, create a landscape that is both powerful and unforgettable.
The experience begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Crete, followed by a transfer to Heraklion Port and a high-speed hydrofoil crossing to Santorini. Upon arrival, a guided tour introduces the island’s most iconic locations, combining historical insights with views shaped by volcanic activity. One of the caldera-edge towns offers a closer look at narrow cobblestone streets, cliffside terraces and panoramic viewpoints. The tour continues to Oia, where free time is available to explore the village, take photos and enjoy the atmosphere. The day ends in Fira, Santorini’s lively capital, where the evening is at leisure.
On the second day, Santorini can be explored independently, whether strolling through Fira, visiting viewpoints, browsing local shops or simply enjoying the caldera views. A shared transfer then returns to the port for the journey back to Heraklion, followed by a private transfer to the hotel in Crete.
