There's nothing quite like a morning horse ride to invigorate and get you ready for another perfect day in Sal. Head to the stables where you'll be paired with your horse for an hour-long ride to the world-famous Kite beach. Canter along the sand and take in the panoramas from your new, higher vantage point. This is an easygoing, slow paced ride, ideal for families and beginners.

There was nothing I didn’t like but improve the service maybe offer the horse ride with an option to go round the botanical garden

When we arrived back from the 1 hour ride, and where waiting to get through the main compound gates, I asked my guide that I am suffering from heat exhaustion and I need to get off my horse immediately, he then got help from another assistant, they both got me off the horse, I felt very uneasy on my feet, they told me to sit on the small bench. They then got my wife of her horse,she came over to me and I told her I am feeling very shaky and very thirsty, the man in charge said I will be backsoon

The whole experience was great, was very organised and well ran, the people who ran the trail were brilliant and very experienced and we all loved it, amazing experience along the beach with the horses. We brought the photos that were taken by a professional photographer along the ride and they were excellent value for money and amazing pictures. Horses very well looked after

The minimum age for beginner riders is six years

The one-hour rides do not include galloping
