Beginners’ scuba diving session in Boa Vista

Wegens migraine kon ik de duik initiatie cursus niet starten. Ik heb het de dag ervoor laten weten. Misschien te laat, laat mijn hoofd liet dit niet toe. De aanbieder had zelf eerst de initiatie geannuleerd. Als het tien had doorgegaan was ik kunnen gaan duiken. Mijn conclusie heb ik aldus gemaakt

The team was great and did a good briefing and kept us safe but it really wasn’t a good beginner experience. We went to a beach that had quite a bit of surf. We had to wade in with all the equipment against the waves and when we were under water the current was so strong we kept getting tossed about. It was sandy and we saw zero fish etc. we also only got the one dive which was less than expected. Overall not a great experience for a beginner and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Guides were really friendly and made the activity fun and made sure the safety was always the top priority. Dive was really good but maybe not suitable for a lot of people due to panic related reasons underwater.

Malgré un vent assez soutenu, l'expérience fut très agréable. On est mis en confiance dès notre arrivée.

Goeie begeleiding, de tijd onder water had wel wat langer gemogen dan +/- 45 min
