From the hotel, you hit the road for a short scenic drive to Angkor Silk Farm in Pouk district. You drive past farmers tending to their rice fields, buffalo grazing outside wooden stilted homes and small villages. Upon arrival, You will be met by a Cambodian guide and start a guided tour of the various workshops to understand the production process from silk worm to thread to fabric. You stroll through the mulberry tree plantations, see the silkworms that produce the delicate thread and meet the weavers who transform it into thread then splendid silk fabrics using traditional techniques. This is a great way to learn about the stunning fabrics Cambodia was once famed for across the globe.
