What to expect

This tour takes you to the ancient city of Aphrodisias, home to the Aphrodite Temple and known in the Roman world as the famous marble sculpture school. Aphrodisias is mentioned in Suda, a sizeable Byzantine encyclopedia famous among academics and philosophers. Plato’s student, Xenocrates is believed to have lived here.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant in Pamukkale, and then you will admire the Red Water Hot Springs in Karahayit and learn about the Red Water and its history.

Your next destination is the North Gate of Hierapolis, where you will discover the history of this beautiful site. Enter the Cleopatra pool, where it is said that Cleopatra took her beauty, and enjoy the combination of naturally formed white cliffs and hot water ponds. You will be able to spend an hour freely on the Travertines.
