Experience a day trip from Frankfurt am Main along the Romantic Road to medieval Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and enjoy a wine tasting on the way!
After the departure in Frankfurt, you'll drive through the Spessart and along the vineyards in the Tauber Valley to Weikersheim. Here you'll have the opportunity to take part in a special guided tour of the Knights' Hall of the magnificent Renaissance palace and visit the palace gardens laid out in the style of Versailles.
Afterwards, you'll travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, internationally known as a symbol of medieval Germany. Discover the sights of the city, such as the Plönlein, the market square with the town hall or the city wall.
During the trip, products from the Markelsheim winegrowers' cooperative are sampled: A Secco as a welcome drink, a Müller-Thurgau or Silvaner on the trip from Würzburg to Rothenburg, and a Tauberschwarz, a dry red wine that only grows here on the Romantic Road, on the return trip.
On the way back to Frankfurt, you'll make a photo stop at the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
