Discover thousands of years of history with skip-the-line access to the Neues Museum on Berlin's Museuminsel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Located on Berlin's Museuminsel, the Neues Museum stands just north of the Altes Museum. It was built between 1843 and 1855 to plans by Friedrich August Stüler, a student of Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

The museum presents the same collections it housed before the Second World War, when it was severely damaged during the bombing of Berlin and later left abandoned. In 2003, restoration work began under the direction of British architect David Chipperfield, and the museum reopened to the public in 2009.

Today, the Neues Museum on Museuminsel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, brings together geographically and thematically linked exhibits from three collections: Egyptian art, prehistoric objects and classical antiquities. Among its most celebrated treasures is the iconic bust of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti.
