Delve deep into Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter for a dose of history, art and culture on this private guided tour. In a small group tour, you’ll explore the vibrant streets of the city’s oldest neighbourhood. A stone’s throw away from the popular pedestrian street La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter is home to Gothic architecture – look out for Barcelona Cathedral, Basilica Santa Maria del Pi, palm-lined squares and Roman ruins. Traces of the ancient Roman village and walls are also on the cards. It’s a fascinating blast from the past. A fresh vibe can be felt at Plaça Reial, a hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

The next stop of the tour is at La Ribera district, home to the Santa Maria del Mar Basilica (Basilica of St. Mary of the Sea). ‘It’s the only remaining church in the pure Catalan Gothic style’, says local guide Rosa. Step inside to admire its stained-glass windows and columns. As the tour comes to an end, your guide will leave you with more tips to continue exploring.
