Discover Douro Valley's picturesque landscapes combined with gastronomy and wine on this full-day guided tour.

You'll meet your guide at your accommodation in Porto and you'll hear about the first demarcated region of the world's wines since 1756 whilst you travel through the valleys which are like an amphitheater to the river to see Peso da Régua, Pinhão, Casal de Loivos, and back to Porto. Also, you'll learn how the wine region is designed and hand-crafted over the years to foster the best conditions for the development of the grape, even before giving rise to the nectar.

Next, you'll board the 1-hour boat ride through the calm waters of the Douro River before indulging in typical Portuguese food for lunch. The tour includes visits to two wineries with tastings: a Port wine producer and a family-owned business farm that produces wine, olive oil, and honey.

Unser Guide Miguel war super - er hat uns mit viel Wissen und auch sehr lustig und fürsorglich (z.B. Auto immer gleich in die Nähe gestellt für kurze Wege, Infos zu Ablauf, Bootsfahrt, WCs, ...) durch den Tag begleitet, macht keine Hektik, fährt gut und sicher! Sehr gut organisiert (bis auf eine kurze Verwirrung am Vortag durch automatisiertes email zum Thema Treffpunkt oder Abholung beim Hotel - letztere hat dann nach tel. Nachfrage bei TUI eh bestens funktioniert). Kleine Gruppe (6 Pers.)!

Very enjoyable day- Sarah was very informative and well organised. The itinerary was very good - varied, with good venues for all of the activities. Everything ran smoothly. Nice small group. I would definitely recommend it. Good value for money.
