Skopje full-day tour

The ,guide was interesting and humorous and the driver friendly and helpful. The minibus was modern and air-conditioned. It currently takes about 3 hours each way but new roads are under construction which should reduce this by an hour which hopefully will give more time there as there is so much to see on this impressive city.

Skopje is een mooie stad uit twee delen, oud en nieuw. 3 1/2 rijden is een hele trip. Je zit dus 7 uur in een busje. Maar met het gezelschap in de bus, was het wel vol te houden. Als we het van tevoren hadden geweten, waren we toch weer gegaan. Ondanks dat je maar een hele korte tijd in Skopje bent.

A long but wonderful day. Skopje is amazing and the journey up through the mountains is incredible. Our guide Toni was incredibly knowledgeable about the history as well as the flora and fauna. A great day out.

A long drive. We saw fortress, mosque (but Friday so public not allowed inside), walk through part of the city, option to visit Mother Teresa's Memorial House (free and well worth doing) plus lots of statues and monuments. Nice to experience the capital city though. The air con broke on the coach on the outward journey and it was 40C. Hats off to TUI/our guide for arranging a replacement coach, which meant we had an extra hour in the city, and for retrieving our belongings from the first coach.

Transport was great, modern minibus, very long day, 10 hours but guide Tony was awesome and so was driver.

The travel time is 3hrs + each way, and the coach was old, slow and uncomfortable. A newer vehicle would have been appreciated. The driver was lovely and did his best in an old vehicle. The guide was excellent.
