Enjoy this excursion focused on Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano at 3,350 metres and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.

You'll journey to Etna's base station at Rifugio Sapienza accompanied by a multilingual tour guide. Once there, you'll have free time for optional soft trekking to explore the most recent lava flows and the now-extinct Silvestri craters. You can also savour local street food at your own expense or settle in for lunch at the mountain refuge.

Please note that from 5th of May and 20th of May 2026 the cable car on Rifugio Sapienza located on the south side of Mount Etna will be under maintenance, so the stop and ascent will be done on the North side Piano Provenzana only by jeep, no cable car for this period
You can arrange a pick-up from Taormina beach, Letojanni and Giardini Naxos with the local operator after booking. You'll receive the contacts on your voucher
Food and beverages are available at the Rifugio Sapienza Bar and Restaurant
Return to Taormina is around 4.00 pm
