Follow a self-guided route through Dublin as you explore the Liberties, one of the city's lesser-known neighbourhoods and a historic centre of brewing and distilling. As you make your way towards Temple Bar, you'll pass key locations linked to Dublin's whiskey heritage and visit sites once home to renowned distilleries in the Golden Triangle.
The experience takes you back to the late 19th century, focusing on the real events of the 1875 Dublin whiskey fire. Through 12 of location-based challenges, you'll uncover stories linked to this incident while discovering a more traditional side of the city.
The walking route begins near the Guinness Storehouse and continues through the Liberties, with stops including Pearse Lyons Distillery, Teeling Distillery and the site of the historic fire. Along the way, you'll also pass notable landmarks such as St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, City Hall and the Olympia Theatre, as well as smaller spots that are only known by locals.
