Discover Bran Castle, known as ‘Dracula’s Castle,’ and Râșnov Fortress on this 4-hour small group tour from Braşov.

Travel to Râșnov to explore its stunning 13th-century fortress and then visit Bran Castle, the turreted hilltop palace linked to Bram Stoker’s novel of Count Dracula. Walk through the spooky rooms and hear tales about Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century noble who was imprisoned here and inspired Stoker’s blood-stained vampire.

The interior of Rasnov Fortress is closed in 2021, you will see the outside and the exterior court of the citadel.

You have the possibility to extend your tour by 3/4 hours to include a visit to the beautifully ornate Peleș Castle (Upgrade at booking to extend your tour for an additional fee to include Peles Castle). Peles Castle and Pelisor Castle, part of the larger Peles Castle complex, are closed on Monday and Tuesdays.

Charlie was amazing! He made sure everyone was looked after & his knowledge was vast so the tour was really interesting. The only improvements could be the written details. It advertises hotel pickup however this is not allowed any more from the old town, it does not mention that you need to pay for the furnicular at Rasnov fortress & it should be clearer that the ticket for Peles is with the extra floor rather than ‘standard’ which I interpreted as ‘basic’. Overall a great day though.

Despite the cold rainy weather conditions our day spent visiting Peleş castle, bran castle and Râşnov fortress was an amazing experience. Our guide for the day was incredible knowledgeable and ensured we were well informed at each place of the structures and past events.

Alex was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We were lucky enough to spot a huge brown bear, in excess of 300 kilos, which was fantastic.

Tickets to Peleș Castle can only be purchased in advance online at their official website. Slots: Wednesday 10:00–12:45, Thursday to Sunday 09:15–11:00
