The trip departs from Gijón to Bulnes. From the bus you will enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and wonderful views of the Picos de Europa following the course of the Cares River.
The first stop will be Poncebos, the starting point of the funicular and where you can enjoy fantastic views of the Cares River. You will take the funicular, to enjoy an 8-minute subway journey to the only village in Asturias, which can only be accessed on foot or by funicular (ticket included in this tour).
After a guided tour of Bulnes, you will have free time to stroll through its cobblestone streets, visit the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, taste the local gastronomy and admire the Picu Urriellu (Naranjo de Bulnes) from the viewpoint.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Cheese Cave in Arenas de Cabrales. You will learn about the process of the famous Cabrales cheese and, at the end, you will enjoy a tasting accompanied by cider, a typical drink of the region.
