Explore the city that was once dominated by the heavy industries of coal and steel and is today a high-tech manufacturing city. Stroll through the city that shows its modernity all around but stop also at the still tell-tell signs of its ancient past.

Admire the famous U-Tower or Dortmunder U, a Dortmund high-rise landmark since 1927, and find out more about the former home of the Dortmunder Union Brauerei, once the most productive brewery in West Germany. See the brewery that now includes the Ostwall Museum with an expressionist exhibition.
