Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Schloss Eggenberg with your entrance ticket and walk through its baroque staterooms and picturesque gardens.

Marvel at the staterooms that have remained almost unchanged since the 18th century. Lavishly decorated with 17th and 18th-century designs, furniture, tapestries, and decorations, the 24 staterooms are among the most important in Austria.

Don't miss the opportunity to admire the star-studded Planetary Room, a highlight of the staterooms, that was completed in 1685. Look for the paintings by artist Hans Adam Weissenkircher mixing astrological and hermetical ideas.

Then, see art from the Middle Ages to the 18th century in the Alte Galerie, the sparkling treasures in the Numismatic Collection, and learn the mysterious traces of life in the Archaeology Museum.

Finally, stroll through the romantic landscaped gardens surrounding the castle. With this ticket, all areas in the castle can be visited!

Know in advance:

Note admission to the staterooms is only allowed as part of a guided tour - this is included in the price of your ticket. Upon arrival, book your guided tour time at the ticket counter
Guided tours are available in English and German hourly from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. From 1 May to 30 September there is an additional guided tour at 5.00 pm
Guided tours (of the staterooms) are approximately 50 minutes. Maximum of 25 persons per guided tour
Audioguides are available for the Archeology Museum in German and English, there is also a media guide in Austrian sign language. Audioguides can be purchased at the ticket counter for an additional 3 € each
Children and Youths (age 0-18) can enter the museums for free - free tickets are issued at the museum's ticket counter
Palace Park and Gardens opening hours: 15 March to 31 October, from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm; 1 November to 14 March, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm
Old Gallery, Museum of Archaeology and Coin Cabinet opening hours: 1 April to 30 October, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm
