A guided visit to a souk (local market) is a good way to see the local way of life and this tour offers exactly that.

Souk is a traditional market where locals and tourists gather to buy and sell a wide variety of goods and products. The atmosphere is lively, with haggling being a common practice. At the souks you'll also find traditional crafts and artisanal items.

Besides the souk, you can also taste some local products such as Argan oil and pure honey in one of the cooperatives. Meanwhile, you'll discover all the extraction process of Argan products and some rich Moroccan spices making the best memories and tastes out of this tour.

I specifically asked the TUI rep for the duration of this trip and visit at the market. I was informed that we have unlimited time for shopping, we can exchange the number with our taxi and have it arranged with him once ready. When the driver arrived he asked for more money for the return trip. Unacceptable and misleading!

Pick-up for the Souk El Ahad tour was poorly handled. Although scheduled for 9:30 AM, drivers began calling from 9:15. Despite informing them we were a group of 7 with 3 infants, they were rude about a minor delay (boarded at 9:36). Lack of basic courtesy and understanding.

No guide just got dropped off

The Argan Oil experience was brilliant, very informative, patient and welcoming ladies who applied no pressure to buy anything. The souk guide first took us to what appeared to be his friends shop and then abandoned us (two young ladies) when we didn’t want to buy anything. We didn’t mind exploring alone but perhaps don’t book this if you would like a helpful guide who will take care of you.
