Your experience will begin in the early morning, where you'll meet your guide and start your walk downtown to watch the daily procession of almost 300 young monks who silently walk and collect sticky rice and other food in their bronze bowls. This ritual is linked to a Buddhist tradition where monks beg for their daily food as a way to demonstrate humility.
After observing the ritual, continue your experience by visiting Luang Prabang’s morning market where you'll see the locals haggling for fresh meat, fruit, and vegetables.
