A real feast for the senses awaits you on the Amalfi Coast. In a small group, you'll make your way from village to village by bus, glimpsing the sea at the end of twisting lanes and soaking up the sheer beauty of this world-famous destination. Discover the glamour of Positano and the panorama from lofty Ravello with a hilltop lunch in between. Francesca, one of our expert local guides, says, "for me, the real Amalfi Coast is best experienced in the villages perched high above the sea. This is where you can see the magic of these steep mountains covered in lemon groves, tumbling down to the blue waves below."

This tour features a more personal touch. First up, you'll stop in the cliff-hugging village of Positano, where each house seems to be stacked upon the next. This splendid ensemble of colourful houses clinging to the mountainside is one of Italy's classic sights. After a short tour, enjoy some free time before we set off for lunch in a family-owned restaurant located in the hilltop village of Pontone. Francesa adds, ‘Pontone is one of my favourite places on the Amalfi Coast because it's the oldest village in the region, and it's still so authentic – a little-known gem with epic views.'

And last but not least, you'll head to ravishing Ravello, where your guide will show you around the village with its ornate Duomo dating back to the 11th century and a clutch of sumptuous villas with incredible views along the coast. After your guided tour, you'll have free time to explore.

- 8:00am to 9:00am – pick-up from hotel

- 9:45am to 11:15am – arrive at Positano for a short, guided walking tour and free time

- 11:15am to 12:15pm – bus transfer from Positano to Pontone

- 12:15pm to 1:30pm – lunch at a local restaurant in Pontone

- 1:30pm to 2:00pm – leave Pontone for Ravello

- 2:00pm to 4:00pm – arrive in Ravello for a guided walking tour and visit to Villa Rufolo

- 4:00pm to 6:00pm – leave Ravello and return to hotel

The guide Lily and driver Luigi were excellent. Very knowledgable and entertaining. Positano was really nice, Wasn’t a lot at Pontone so a bit of a wasted visit and the meal was average although the restaurant staff were great. The meal venue was crowded and too noisy and we didn’t really enjoy it. Ravello was good. Positano was the best part of the trip.

Guide was knowledgeable and funny and made the journey very pleasant, always happy to help. Views were lovely. Only did 2 stops plus lunch, which for me the food was a real let down. As I have to have gluten-free I was not given any alternative just less and while others had a lasagne type dish I just had penne with tomato sauce. Poor. Weather was awful, cold wet and windy so did not add to our enjoyment as being left to walk around for 1 1/2 hrs with not a lot to do and not a lot open.

The tour clearly stated Amalfi but we did not stop , just drove through to Positano which wasn’t clear or told when booking. My reason for coming on this tour was to actually see the Amalfi as well As Positano

Would have been really good if it had not been raining. Photo’s could only be taken from one side of the bus, as the other was all the mountain. Lunch was excellent.
