Leave the bustle of Hanoi behind and spend two days exploring the quieter landscapes of Pù Luông Nature Reserve. This experience focuses on walking at a relaxed pace through terraced rice fields, forest paths and small villages, offering a closer look at daily life in this rural part of northern Vietnam. Along the way, you'll visit Kho Mường Cave, the largest cave in the reserve, and spend time in Bang village, where traditional customs and farming routines continue much as they have for generations.
On the second day, the route takes you through green valleys dotted with stilt houses and giant bamboo water wheels used for irrigation. A gentle walk leads to the Chieu Lau stream, where you'll join local villagers for a bamboo rafting experience before beginning the return journey to Hanoi. Accommodation and meals in Pù Luông are authentic and locally run, adding to the overall sense of connection with the area and its people.
