You'll depart Kraków and go on a journey to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. There, experience what it's like to explore the largest concentration camp in Poland built by the Nazis. Increase your knowledge with an informative guide and a tour filled with stories and facts of both the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II labor camps.

After a short break for lunch on arrival, get shown around Auschwitz I to see the infamous Arbeit Macht Frei sign and some of the administration buildings where the horrors were planned. Look inside the gas chamber where the Nazis committed their hideous genocide, and see personal artifacts belonging to inmates at exhibitions dedicated to their memory.

Benefit from a short 15-minute break before going to the Birkenau camp for a 1-hour guided tour. Discover where the prisoners entered the camp and the wooden barracks where they were forced to live. Return to Kraków with your thoughts and get dropped off at a place of your choice in the Old Town or Old Jewish Quarter.

The museum can change your visit time, so your pickup time may change accordingly. You will receive final confirmation via email 1–2 days before the tour. Due to the extremely high visitors’ volume and internal policies, Auschwitz-Birkenau reserves the right to cancel tours or guides at any time, even a few days or hours before the visit. If this happens, you will be informed and if possible, offered an alternative date or program
All visitors are required to pass through security checks before entering the museum grounds
The local partner will contact you by WhatsApp, email or phone the day before the tour to confirm your pickup place and time
If the pickup location is inaccessible for the transport, a different location will be arranged nearby

Remember to bring:

A valid ID or a copy of your passport
It's advisable to bring a packed lunch
Clothes that do not reveal too much or are too shiny, to show the dignity required, and have comfortable shoes

Overall, a really successful trip and very glad we did this! Probably one of the highlights of the trip. The tour guide was extremely informative, supportive, happy to help and spoke fluent english. The only down side was the time changed very short notice we were due to be picked up at 9 am but it got changed to 4:30am at very short notice but we saw positives in this (using a full day to explore)

Only downside was that we booked for 8am and the day before were told we’d be picked up at 6.25 from the pickup point. This appears common on other sites and seems a generic pick up time. Otherwise very structured day, the guide was amazing and informative. Communication was good, confirming our attendance and answering any questions the day before too. Would highly recommend this excursion

The trip was well-organised and in particular the tour guide was amazing! He was very informative and knowledgeable about sights/places to visit in Kraków and gave commentary on the way to Auschwitz. He clearly explained the itinerary and kept checking to see if everyone was okay.
