Ouzoudin putoukset kuuluvat Marokon suosituimpiin nähtävyyksiin, ja niitä pääsee katsomaan helposti Marrakechista. Suuntaat Atlasvuorille katsomaan Pohjois-Afrikan korkeimpia vesiputouksia sekä luonnon siltaa. Hamza, yksi paikallisoppaistamme, sanoo: "Olen opastanut tällä retkellä jo monta vuotta, mutta nautin edelleen putousten näkemisestä. Putouksia, jotka laskevat 110 metriä alas jyrkkiä punaisia kallioita pitkin, voi katsella useista eri paikoista sekä ylhäältä että alhaalta. Ouzoud tarkoittaa berberikielellä oliivipuuta, ja putoukset on nimetty laakson ympärillä kasvavien ikivanhojen oliivipuiden mukaan."

Matkalla Ouzoudiin ohitat palmutarhoja, perinteisiä berberikyliä ja vuoristosolia. Saapuessasi putouksille sinulla on reilusti aikaa ottaa valokuvia ja ihailla vesiputouksia, joiden yllä on jatkuvasti sateenkaari.

Oppaasi näyttää parhaat näköalapaikat, ja jos sinulla on onnea, saatat jopa nähdä berberiapinoita, jotka asuvat tässä upeassa paikassa. Hamza sanoo: "Monet pitävät Marokkoa karuna. Ouzoudin putousten vehreä ympäristö luo kuitenkin maisemaan eloa. Vierailun jälkeen on aika nauttia perinteinen lounas berberiravintolassa. Paluumatkalla Marrakechiin psyähdymme vielä ottamaan valokuvia läheisellä Imi-n-Ifri-luonnonsillalla.

Guide was really knowledgeable and explained much of the history and the culture during the coach ride. Once we arrived he made sure we stayed together and looked after us all. The boat ride was the best bit and despite my fear, the steps were ok. The food was fantastic. Personally i wouldn’t bother walking down to the cave on the way home, you can see much more from the top!

The guide was good and very well on the knowledge and informative and helpful. The travel time to get there. The steps at the end when I asked the rep they showed me pictures of a few steps then walk but this was not the case towards the end of the walk to the bottom which was constant steps and proved very difficult and hard when going back up

The so called waterfall was just a cascade of mud! We understand this was due to rain but as you had staff on site who were aware we should have been offered a cancellation or reschedule. The trip involves a 3 hour coach journey there, overall 6 hour coach journey, which is not made clear until you are on the coach. There are 100s of steps to get to the bottom and when we visited it was very slippery and dangerous due to the rain, I am surprised nobody got injured.

We had an hour at the waterfall which sounds like ages but once you have walked down and gotten a boat, you then have to go back up again. 3 people didn’t go down so they spent an hour in a restaurant at the top when they could’ve at least done some steps and used the shops. There were lots of restaurants here but we had to get back on the bus and go an hour away to a TUI approved restaurant which was very average and the toilets and sinks didn’t work

The sights were amazing and the lunch services was outstanding and our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I think the listing for this excursion needs to make people more aware of how physical the climb back up is. Everyone says its 600 steps, but the physicality of the climb is brutal in the heat and the twisting passages.

The trip was advertised as 4-8 hours, door to door we endured 12 hours. Approximately only 3.5 hours were spent off the bus. We only spent 2 hours at the falls including the walk down. It was only other people's reviews that indicated how far and difficult the walk was. Being heckled the whole way down was also fairly unpleasant. Lunch was communal and pretty underwhelming. A really unpleasant day in the heat.
