This three-day Sahara adventure takes you deep into the heart of Morocco’s desert landscapes, combining mountain scenery, ancient kasbahs and unforgettable nights beneath the stars. From camel rides across the towering Erg Chebbi dunes to traditional Berber hospitality in the middle of the Sahara, this experience blends adventure, culture and some of Morocco’s most dramatic scenery into one unforgettable journey.
Your adventure begins with an early departure as you travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi N’Tichka Pass, passing remote Berber villages hidden among the rugged landscapes. Along the way, you’ll visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its appearances in films such as Gladiator and The Mummy. Continuing through the Skoura palm groves, home to hundreds of thousands of palm trees, the scenery gradually shifts as you move closer towards the desert.
Day two brings even more spectacular landscapes as you travel through Todra Gorges, Tinghir, Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud, where the vastness of the Sahara begins to unfold. Arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes, it’s time to swap wheels for camels and set off across the golden sands as the sun lowers across the horizon. There’s also the chance to try sandboarding from the higher dunes, adding even more excitement to the experience. As evening falls, settle into your Berber nomad camp deep within the desert, where dinner, traditional drumming music and a sky filled with stars create an atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life. Sleeping in the silence of the Sahara is the real highlight of this adventure.
On the final day, wake early to admire the changing colours of the dunes at sunrise before breakfast at camp. Then begin the return journey through Morocco’s ever-changing landscapes, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Sahara, its people and its timeless beauty.
