Your guide will lead you through the Vatican museum with highlights such as the Room of the Animals, the Laocoön Group, the Torso of the Belvedere, Nero's Bath, Tapestry Gallery and the Gallery of the maps.

Behold Raphael's beautiful frescos in the Stanze di Raffaelo and see the private rooms of Pope Julius II. Finally and in silence, you will enter the Sistine Chapel where on 13 March 2013 Pope Francesco is elected in the conclave. Behold Michelangelo’s breathtaking frescos. With more than 300 figures on a ceiling area of 500m2 is this one of the most extraordinary pieces of art in the world.

Your passionate guide has discovered every secret of the chapel and is happy to share this knowledge. Get to know Michelangelo and the Vatican like no one else. The tour continues to the Vatican Library and finally, you will leave the museum via the Momo Staircase which will lead you to St Peter’s Square. Your guide will reveal the highlights of the basilica to make you into a true Vatican expert (visit to the basilica not included).

Each participant must be in possession of his/her identity card. A photo of it on your smartphone is ok
Long rain shields should be checked in
Backpacks and bags are allowed
Remember to wear appropriate clothing (covered shoulders and skirts/pants to the knee)

Bedankt Monique voor de rondleiding in het Vaticaan, Sixtijnse Kapel en Sint-Pietersplein. Je praat met zoveel passie de drie uur durende tour aan elkaar. Je hebt me geen minuut verveeld. Voor jou was de drukke periode zomerperiode net achter de rug, maar er was geen spoor van vermoeidheid of sleur te bespeuren. Dat verdiend een pluim en een positieve review!

Toffe gids, zeer bezorgd naar de mensen owv de hitte. Goede uitleg, nam voldoende de tijd. Zeker een een aanrader !

Organisatie prima..ontvangst prima. Maar voor deze toch ruime prijs.. zouden we toch mogen rekenen op KWALITATIEVE oortjes en micro voor de gids. DIT WAS ECHT NIET GOED !!! Beneden alle peil voor deze prijs. Moeilijk te horen, (te) veel info kort op mekaar. En ik stond niet alleen met deze mening binnen onze kleine groep. Gids Evi/Evy kunnen we een 7 geven, "goed" maar ook niet meer. De manier waarop alles werd gebracht, kan nog beter. Zeker heel onderlegd in haar vak, daar geen twijfel over.

Het was een vriendelijke dame, maar er stond in de omschrijving vaticaan, sixtijnse kapel en het plein. Uiteindelijk hebben we alleen het Vaticaan gehad (museum). Veel goede informatie gehad, maar niks over het plein o.i.d. Nu snap ik met het conclaaf dat de kapel geen optie was. Maar dit was nu alleen info in en over het museum. Hier balen wij enorm van. Nul info over het plein we zijn niet eens met de gids naar het plein gegaan. Ik vind 110eu p.p. veel te veel voor wat we gekregen hebben.

Ik vond de tour heel leuk en informatief, wel jammer dat je met skip the line tickets evengoed nog in de rij moet. en ook jammer dat de Nederlandse tour 37,50 p.p. duurder is dan alle tours die worden gegeven (alle tours kosten 75 pp en deze 112,50 dus dat voelde niet goed). De Gids Monique vertelde heel leuk maar bleef wel vaak op een plek staan waardoor het wel erg vermoeiend voor mij was (ik kan namelijk niet zo lang stilstaan, lopen gaat wel).
