Camels may well be the traditional local means of transportation in the desert but they certainly aren't as exhilarating as kicking up the desert sands with a roaring quad bike.

This excursion will take you on guided trails to zoom through the dunes of the desert for over an hour. After this adrenaline-pumping session, you'll pop off your goggles and helmet for a short break before re-mounting your iron horse and continuing to the nearby beach.

Very enjoyable experience and well-organized overall. Do make sure to read in advance what you're allowed to bring and what to wear — that way you won’t waste time waiting for the group to get ready. One thing I did expect was to see a bit more during the tour. You stop for about 15 minutes at a distinctive tree, where photos are taken, and the second stop is by the coast for more photos. . Leuke excursies, we werden keurig opgehaald bij de receptie van ons hotel, waarna we niet zo gek ver moesten rijden om aa te komen bij de startplek. Eerst ontvangst met een drankje, daarna een klein rondje op een dromedaris gereden. Was niet lang maar dat geeft niet. Leuk om eens mee te maken en genoeg voor wat leuke foto's. Hierna op de quads, wel wat verouderd maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Paar uur gereden met mooie stops, inclusief zonsondergang.

Het kameelrijden was in verhouding kort, maar wel lang genoeg. Het quad rijden was geweldig. De gids lette goed op de groep en welke snelheid er gereden kan worden. Verder was er ook een fotograaf mee, die van iedereen foto’s maakte welke wij voor €28 konden kopen (we kregen 90 foto’s en 1 video, dus zeker waar voor je geld). We hebben de zonsondergang gekeken op een mooie plek en zijn toen weer teruggereden.

A small bottle of water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera
A casual outfit and no jewelry on the trip. It's highly recommended to wear long trousers while driving the quad, just in case your legs may touch the quad bike's engine
