For the perfect introduction to the island of eternal spring, this full day tour of Tenerife's main sights is just the ticket. We'll marvel at the summits of the west and discover towns such as Puerto de la Cruz and Candelaria.
Leaving Playa de las Americas, you'll head straight for the impressive summits of the west coast for a dramatic journey through Santiago del Teide as we climb towards Erjos, a rustic hamlet in the foothills of the Teno highlands. From here, there are views of Teide volcano and over the island. We'll then descend to El Tanque – keep an eye out for Roque de Garachico, a green-topped craggy island lying just offshore. A visit to the village of Garachico is lined up, too.
Next up, we'll swing by Icod de los Vinos, famed for its impressive Dragon Tree which is believed to be around 1000 years old. We'll round off the day with visits to Puerto de la Cruz and Candelaria, where we'll see the seafront basilica

Dusty and lunar-like in the south, green and mountainous in the north, Tenerife packs a continent into one island. Think quaint villages, stunning views and a local lunch on this full day experience. You'll visit the UNESCO-listed old town of La Laguna, drop into a bodega for lunch and explore an aloe vera plantation. Arianne, one of our local expert guides, says, ‘Canarian bananas are smaller but thicker, and their peel has dark speckles. The pulp is yellower, and it should be eaten riper, which makes it sweeter.'First up is a visit to an aloe vera plantation. Here, you'll learn about the healing qualities – especially skincare – of this crop. Then it's on to La Laguna, arguably the prettiest town on the island. Throw in its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it makes for a real gem of a stop. Wander its poker-straight streets of pastel-coloured palaces and colonial-era churches and convents, or stop for a coffee in one of the cool tree-lined plazas. Taste local products such as marmalade and cheese in the weekly market and admire the town's famous flower displays.It's then on to a family-run bodega for a typical Canarian lunch surrounded by vintage bottles and aged barrels. But there's more – there's also the remote village of Taganana, viewpoints and one of the most popular beaches in Tenerife.Leaving your hotel in an eight-seater minivan, you'll head to La Laguna, famed for its pastel-coloured palaces and collection of Mudejar-style chapels, churches and convents. A quarter of the town's structures date from the colonial period up to the 18th century. So rich is its architectural heritage that UNESCO listed it in 1999 because of its authenticity. After free time to explore La Laguna at your own pace, why not mingle with locals at the weekly market?From here, you'll head to the crescent-shaped beach of Las Teresitas, complete with palm trees. The scenery changes dramatically next, as we journey through the laurel forest of Las Mercedes en route to Taganana. This whitewashed hamlet cascades down a slope in Anaga Rural Park.
