2021 saw the creation of a new volcanic crater near La Palma. The volcano previously known as Cumbre Vieja erupted, completely changing the landscape west of the city. Hiking 6.5km on the newly christened Tajogaite – cracked mountain – you'll almost reach the crater. From here, awesome views of the lava flows and the Aridane Valley open up.

De tour was uitstekend geregeld en we hadden een zeer ervaren gids mee , hij kon veel vertellen en laten zien. Het was een wandeling van zes kilometer. Aan het einde van de wandeling stond de chauffeur op een andere plek klaar om ons op te halen. Misschien een tip om de tour al om negen uur in de ochtend te laten beginnen vanwege de warmte. Maar bovenal was deze tour een dikke tien waard !!!!
