Begin your visit with a glimpse through the Berlin Wall, where you will learn about the contrasting worlds of the respective sides. Learn more about how was everyday life like in the West and how did people live in the East. Continue to the next room which focuses on personal life stories, then choose with whom you would like to embark on the VR experience – the rebellious craftsman, the reflective architect or the maladjusted border crosser. See oversized passports that illustrate how many different lives were in divided Berlin. Everyone dealt with the separation and the political oppression in an individual way.

Finally, take a seat in a virtual 80s style bus and set off on a city tour, encounter the border control at Checkpoint Charlie, drive along Friedrichstrasse and see the Palace of the Republic shining in its former glory. At the end of the tour, original images of the fall of the Berlin Wall remind you why this event still has such a deep impact on Germany today.

Participation is not possible for children under the age of 6, as the VR glasses are not suitable for this age group due to their size and weight. Children under the age of 6 cannot be accompanied either, as supervision cannot be guaranteed during the VR experience

Reduced price is for: children (6-17 years); pupils, students and trainees; FSJ (Voluntary Social Year), FWD (Voluntary Military Service), severely disabled people (from of the German degree of disability); care takers of severely disabled people
As a rule, you can comfortably wear VR glasses over normal glasses. Varifocal glasses should be removed for the journey or replaced with single-vision glasses. If your glasses model is too large, we recommend wearing contact lenses
Children between the ages of 6 and 12 can take part in the VR ride if accompanied by an adult
No smartphone/headphones are required for the tour in German
If you want to enjoy the journey through time in English, Spanish, Italian or French, please bring a smartphone and headphones. If you don't have one, the tour operator will loan you one for the duration of the tour
