Villa Reale in Marlia, the much loved home of Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi â Napoleon's sister â is one of the most important historical residences in Italy, a few kilometers from Lucca. The estate has been brought back to its former glory as a result of a large-scale restoration project, launched by the new owners a few years ago. The park is striking for its vast size (16 hectares) and incorporates numerous locations of interest as the oldest green theater of Europe.
